Servizi

Wedding planning means serving as a professional liaison between the customer and the supplier, and then coordinating the various aspects, and of course the various suppliers.

What sets me apart is not merely my work as wedding planner proper in performing this liaison function, but that, for some services, I action operatively, carrying out that particular service directly with my staff.

As a wedding planner (that is, as consultant/liaison), I can help the bride and groom in their choice of:

Church

When a couple decides to get married, it may, for religious or personal reasons, already have in mind the church where the ceremony will be celebrated. When this is not the case, I can suggest visiting special churches that I've come to know over the course of my work over the years, and can ease the search with the many photographs I can show.

Venue

Depending on the couple's tastes and budget, the season (summer or winter), the type of reception (lunch or dinner), the location of the church, and a number of other considerations, I can guide the bride and groom in their choice of villa or restaurant, even accompanying them, where necessary, to see the various venues for themselves. Since I've planned a great many weddings, I have a large repertory of photographs; right at my show room, an initial selection of the facilities worth visiting can be made, in line with the couple's preferences.

Catering

If the couple decides to hold the reception at a venue that does not have its own food service, I can illustrate the features of various catering operations. In this case as well, every caterer of course has its own specific characteristics, connected not only with economic considerations but with such factors as, for example, culinary specialties, the chef's traits, the available equipment (table cloths, place mats, etc.), the geographical setting (some caterers are not willing to travel from one province to another), and so on. The choice of caterer is a highly important and delicate one; it is also the cost component with the greatest impact on the wedding budget. It is thus essential to meticulously weigh every aspect, learn everything possible about each and every detail, and assess value with great care. Although I can provide my support in these matters, the final choice –nowhere more than in this area – is the couple's.

Wedding dress

The choice of wedding dress is a highly personal and subjective one, connected with both aesthetic and psychological factors. This is why I do no more than recommend following a connection to the type of wedding to be celebrated: to illustrate an extreme example, for a rural wedding I would not recommend a dress with rhinestones and sequins. It is my conviction that the wedding dress is so important to a bride that the wedding planner's involvement is, rather, to adapt certain aspects of the wedding to the type of dress that has been chosen. It has happened that some brides have wanted me involved in the final decision – choosing, however, from among models they have already selected.

Photography and videography

This important aspect is the only one that remains after the event. Couples that have trusted friends and relatives without relying on professionals have later confided to me that they regretted their decision. The photographer must have a complete understanding with the bride and groom, and that's why the wedding planner's contribution is so important. While technical skill is obviously a given, when I recommend certain photographers over others I place great emphasis on the potential harmony that may be established between the couple and professional.

Church music and musical entertainment for the reception

During my career, I have been acquainted with the work of a number of different music professionals whom I can suggest for their abilities and availability. Plus, there is a whole set of services I offer with my own staff (without having to rely on third parties), which, of course, I coordinate with all the other services mentioned above:

Flower arrangement for the ceremony (church, city hall, etc.)

Staging the ceremony is of the utmost important for two reasons: first, because this is the moment that the marriage is actually celebrated (in church, at city hall, on a meadow, or wherever), and second, because it is the guests' first approach to the wedding's atmosphere.
In this initial phase of the wedding, striking a harmony in all elements – architectural style of the venue (church, city hall, etc.), colours, lights, and music – is essential.
Decorating a church is not a matter merely of placing flower arrangements where they would usually go (as if they were soldiers lined up in a row), but of striking a balance between heights, shapes, and colours, in keeping with the wedding's liturgy / holiness / official nature.
A ceremony celebrated not in church but, for example, on a meadow or a beach, can allow for more imaginative staging, giving free rein to creativity while never losing sight of the fact that a wedding is a celebration. I have all kinds of apparatus for staging the ceremony: ivory-coloured fabrics that can cover all the church pews, aisle runners in a variety of colours, wrought iron risers in a variety of shapes and heights, white gazebo for open-air ceremonies, archway, and more.

Reception decoration

Whether a lunch or dinner, the reception is the very climax of the wedding festivities; as such, it must be taken into consideration as far as decoration goes. In essence, this means creating a joyous, convivial atmosphere that makes the most of space and light, where guests can converse, have fun, and celebrate together in a unique setting. To achieve this, I study the space and decorate not only with flowers, but using candles, fabrics, and structures that enhance the environment by following a theme that links every element together, with elegance and balance.
Selecting the theme is therefore fundamental, and should be done with the bride and groom: it may be a colour, a flower, a setting, or anything else. This theme is then developed in the flower decorations, the menu/place card, the tableau, the wedding cake, the wedding favours, and so on. At the wedding reception, every moment is to be arranged in such a way that guests pass from one environment to another, discovering one different atmosphere after another: from the welcome cocktail to the antipasto buffet, from the actual dinner to the wedding cake, from the wedding candy buffet to the ball. Knowing how to organize a wedding reception is one of the wedding planner's skills. Enhancing the settings by making them welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, in accordance with a unique connecting theme, is the characteristic of a skilled wedding specialist, who takes direct action (that is, through his or her own organization, without having to rely on third-party suppliers) to develop the event in each and every aspect.
