The wedding planner is a professional who does not impose choices, but suggests ideas and recommends solutions. A wedding planner's added value lies in his or her ability to achieve an overall harmony that works in synergy to link the various aspects of the wedding (from the ceremony to the reception, from the dress to the flower arrangements, and so on), with complete and total respect for the bride and groom's desires, expectations, tastes, and preferences. A wedding planner's objective is to create an evocative, unique setting around the bride and groom, so that theirs is the wedding that remains as an indelible memory not only for them, but for their astonished, excited guests as well. The bride and groom have to feel as if they are starring players in a dream – their dream – to which the wedding planner has given form and concrete shape. The wedding planner's job is not to take their place by imposing certain choices, but rather to interpret their expectations and desires, guide them in their selection among the various alternatives, recommend the most interesting possibilities, and share their solutions, with the priority of creating an event tailor-made for them, with nothing about it that is trite or, even worse, awkward or left to chance. |
